Model R600 ultra-thin surface contamination monitor

The R600 Surface Contamination monitor has been awarded the AMT Innovation Design Award for its exceptional ergonomic design. Developed by COLIY Corporation, this cutting-edge instrument utilizes COLIY patented ultra-thin dual-flash detector technology. By eliminating bulky photomultiplier tubes (PMTs), it achieves a compact 16mm thickness with an effective detection area of 375px², capable of detecting both α and β radiation. The sensor’s non-inflatable design significantly reduces operational costs while enhancing user-friendliness. The optional ultra-thin cesium iodide γ-ray sensor and dual-flash detector are integrated on the same plane, enabling simultaneous detection of all three radiation types. The 0.5mm-thick plastic scintillator in the dual-flash detector effectively minimizes gamma-ray interference. With an aluminum window coating thinner than 3μm that absorbs only 1MeV of α radiation, the system delivers real-time detection and independent display of α, β, and γ radiation values.

The R600 Surface Contamination monitor delivers rapid and reliable radiation contamination screening. It directly detects α,β radioactive contamination levels and γ-rays on surfaces with high detection efficiency and fast response speed. The device fully meets users’ requirements for high sensitivity, multifunctionality, and ease of operation. Designed ergonomically with a specially shaped handle for secure grip, the R600 ensures palm-free contamination exposure. Featuring a calibration factor function, users can adjust parameters independently. Its patented algorithm maintains stable background values while providing rapid response and significantly enhanced sensitivity. Anti-saturation circuits prevent over-range and electromagnetic interference, combined with safety calibration features that minimize radiation exposure to calibration personnel.
